The Schachfreunde Berlin organize another superlative chess event with the Central Rounds of the Chess Bundesliga.
In the women’s competition it is decided who will be the champion, who will win the medals and who will have to make it into the second leagues. At the competition on Saturday between Baden-Baden and Hockenheim several ex-world champions like Anatoly Karpov, Hou Yifan, Vishy Anand, Ruslan Ponomariov, Rustam Kasimdzhanov could go to the boards. Plus Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Peter Svidler and for the first time in Germany Wei Yi and Samuel Shankland.

And if you want to play chess yourself on Saturday, you can take part in the 2nd Emanuel Lasker Blitz tournament in the evening! Children, teenagers and young adults can also take part in the Youth Rapid Tournament on Saturday from 9 a.m. onwards.

This event will take place at MARITIM Berlin. In a noble game room, in which all 92 boards find place. On the parquet floor and from a gallery, you can experience the masters up close and personal and join in the excitement with your heroes and teams in time trouble.
